ETC Mannuthy
Started in the year 1953, as a
basic agricultural training center, ETC Mannuthy is one among the three
regional training centers for Rural Development Department in Kerala. With the area of jurisdiction spreading over
four revenue districts in Central Kerala - Thrissur, Ernakulam, Malappuram and
Palakkad - the Center is to meet the
training requirement of both the Officials and the members of Panchayathi Raj Institutions
in addition to Self Helping Groupss, NGOs and other voluntary organizations on different
fields. With the 73rd
Constitutional amendment and decentralized planning in Kerala, the role and
responsibilities of ETCs is increasing day by day. Hence this long established training
institute is to be transformed in to a dynamic center of excellence to meet the
organizational and training needs of Panchayathi Raj Institutions and other
Stakeholders.
The aim of this
Institution is to impart necessary knowledge, skill, and attitudinal changes to
the Rural Development Functionaries, so that, they can perform their role more
effectively and efficiently.
